A meeting with the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bahodur Sheralizoda

Dushanbe, April 5, 2024 - As part of the visit of the Chairman of the Executive Committee of IFAS, Askhat Orazbay, to the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held with the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bahodur Sheralizoda.

B. Sheralizoda briefly briefed on Tajikistan’s chairmanship plans in the Interstate Commission for Sustainable Development in Central Asia (ICSD) for a two-year period, including the celebration of the 30th anniversary of ICSD this year, intensification of activities to implement the Regional Environmental Programme for Sustainable Development in Central Asia (REP4SD-CA), as well as the global initiatives of President of Tajikistan, E. Rahmon, at the UN - 2025 declared as the International Year of Glacier Preservation, March 21 will be annually marked as World Glacier Day, and a major conference on glacier issues will be held in 2025.
