The 4th Meeting of the Working Group on the Development of the Central Asian Regional Water Project Held in Dushanbe

On 29–30 April 2026, the 4th Meeting of the Working Group on the development of the Central Asia Water Efficiency Cooperation Project was held in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. The Project is being jointly implemented by the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea and the World Bank.

The meeting was attended by members and staff of the Executive Committee of IFAS, representatives of water management and foreign affairs agencies of the Central Asian countries, as well as the team of the World Bank’s Central Asia Water and Energy Program (CAWEP-4). During the meeting, participants developed and reviewed draft documents required for the prompt launch of this grant Project, which is of significant importance for the countries of the region amid the growing annual water scarcity.
