A meeting between the Chairman of the EC IFAS, Askhat Orazbay, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao

On August 26, 2024, Askat Orazbay, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS), met with Zhang Xiao, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A. Orazbay outlined the current activities of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in IFAS and the priorities of the long-term Aral Sea Basin Program (ASBP-4), which was approved by the IFAS Board of Trustees in 2021. The prospects for potential cooperation between IFAS and China in the implementation of ASBP-4 and other projects were also discussed.
