On May 13–14, 2025, Serik Bekmagambetov, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the IFAS, participated in the Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC) titled "Achieving the Global Goal on Climate Finance through Regional and National Action in Central Asia".
The annual event was organized by the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia with support from international development partners.
As part of CACCC, the representative of the Executive Committee of the IFAS spoke at the Parallel Session on "The Water-Energy Nexus in Central Asia under Climate Change" (initiated by the Water-Energy Program for Central Asia) and took part in the fourth meeting of the Regional Working Group on the Implementation of the Regional Climate Change Adaptation Strategy in Central Asia (supported by the German Agency for International Cooperation - GIZ).
