Almaty, 27 June 2024 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS) Askhat Orazbay participated as the key speaker at the session “Water, energy and food in Central Asia: partnerships and projects for sustainable development”, held in the framework of the Business forum of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
A. Orazbay drew the audience’s attention to the uniqueness of IFAS as a platform for cooperation and the only institutionalized organization for partnership exclusively among five Central Asian countries.
He called on international development partners for closer cooperation with IFAS, including the joint implementation of the ASBP-4 and the REP4SD.
The Chairman also proposed measures aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and answered questions.
