Information Exchange and Coordination System for Water Resources between the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IF SAS) and Art Work Design Kft.

Astana, 8 August 2024 – The Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS) works on attracting international partners and donors for the implementation of joint projects in the Aral Sea basin.

On August 8, 2024 the Chairman of the EC IFAS Askhat Orazbay held a meeting with András Fedoszejev, CEO of the Hungarian company Art Work Design Kft. The company provides information technology services, develops system solutions and software for monitoring and management. Currently, the company is negotiating the creation of a monitoring and control system for water resources in Uzbekistan and plans to extend these to other Central Asian countries.

A.Orazbay emphasized that for the EC IFAS, which represents interests of five Central Asian states in the fields of water management, ecology, and energy, the creation of a unified automated system for monitoring, managing, and distributing water resources in the Aral Sea basin is of great importance.

As a result of the meeting, it was agreed to exchange information regarding plans on digitization of the water sector in the Aral Sea basin.
