Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan a presentation of the priorities of Kazakhstan’s Chairmanship in the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea

On March 26, 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan a presentation of the priorities of Kazakhstan’s Chairmanship in the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea chaired by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Vasilyenko was held for ambassadors of European Union member states.

Chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea Askhat Orazbay provided detailed information to the European ambassadors about the main priorities of the Kazakhstan’s Chairmanship in the IFAS for the period 2024-2026 and the projects planned for implementation during this period.

Askhat Orazbay emphasized the scale of the Aral Sea disaster and called on EU representatives to work together to minimize its impact.
This presentation served as an informative briefing ahead of the EU Ambassadors’ working trip to the Kyzylorda region in the Aral Sea region scheduled for April 11-14, 2024.
