Astana, April 23, 2026 — As part of the Regional Ecological Summit, a high-level thematic event was held on “Global Climate Change and Sustainable Development in the Region of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia”.
At the event, M. Bekniyazov, Chief Specialist of the Information and Analytical Department of the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, delivered a speech outlining the key priorities and progress of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in the IFAS for the period 2024–2026, as well as the outcomes of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State—founders of the Fund held the day before in Astana.
