Astana, 23 April 2024 – Chairman of the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS) Ambassador Askhat Orazbay had meetings with Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Ms. Monika Iversen, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Ali Akbar Jokar and Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Portugal Mr. José Ataíde Amaral.

The agendas of the meetings included issues of the development of cooperation with IFAS and prospects for joint implementation of projects aimed at improving ecological and socio-economic situations in the countries of the Aral Sea basin.

During the talk with Ambassador Iversen a special role of Germany and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) in assisting the IFAS was separately highlighted.
