On participation in the 88th meeting of the ICWC

On January 29, 2025, the 88th meeting of the Interstate Commission for Water Coordination of Central Asia (ICWC) was held in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan, chaired by the Tajik side. The meeting was also attended by the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS).

In his speech, Serik Bekmaganbetov, Deputy Chair of the EC IFAS, emphasized the importance of improving the organizational structure and legal framework of the EC IFAS, with work on this being led by the Executive Committee in line with the instructions of the Heads of State Founders of the Fund. He also discussed with the members of the ICWC and the heads of water management agencies of Central Asian countries current issues concerning the activities of the EC IFAS and the Fund as a whole.

The corresponding decision on this matter was reflected in the protocol of the 88th meeting of the ICWC.
