Consultations on the Peer-to-Peer Project

On October 23, 2025, a virtual consultation meeting was held between the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS) and the Scientific Information Center of the Interstate Commission for Water Coordination of Central Asia (SIC ICWC) to prepare for the launch of the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Project on knowledge exchange and capacity building, initiated by the European Union in support of basin organizations.

The two IFAS institutions analyzed the main aspects of future cooperation under the P2P Project with the key partners — the Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) and the Zambezi Watercourse Commission (ZAMCOM). The parties identified the goals and expected outcomes for the Central Asian organizations’ participation in the Project, outlined areas of cooperation, and coordinated the planned activities.
