Conference dedicated to international water cooperation and the improvement of Uzbekistan’s water legislation

On 17 November 2025, in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, a Conference dedicated to international water cooperation and the improvement of Uzbekistan’s water legislation was held under the auspices of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Staff members of the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS) — S. Bekmaganbetov, N. Sheraliev, and K. Kulmagambetov — took an active part in the forum.

The Deputy Chairman of the EC IFAS and Authorized Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan, S. Bekmaganbetov, delivered welcoming remarks at the plenary session titled “New Directions in Water Management: The Experience of Central Asia.” He congratulated his colleagues on the entry into force of the new Water Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and briefed the audience on the activities of the EC IFAS during the current Kazakhstani chairmanship
