EC IFAS at the meeting of the Consultative Council of the ICSD СА

On 4 November 2025, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, at the invitation of the Tajik side, which chairs the Interstate Commission on Sustainable Development of Central Asia (ICSD CA), Deputy Chairman of EC IFAS Mr. S. Bekmaganbetov took part in the meeting of the ICSD CA Consultative Council and delivered a presentation titled “On the work to improve the organizational structure and legal framework of IFAS”.

The representative of the EC IFAS raised for discussion the most pressing issues for ICSD CA and the EC IFAS, including: the goals, objectives, role, and functions of the Commission within the updated organizational structure of the renewed Fund; measures to enhance joint activities with relevant ministries and agencies of the founding states of IFAS to ensure the implementation of the Regional Environmental Programme for Sustainable Development of Central Asia; and the inclusion of the Regional Center for Waste Management in Central Asia, located in Dushanbe, into the ICSD structure.

On 5 November of this year, at the invitation of the Tajik side, Mr. S. Bekmaganbetov also joined online and delivered welcoming remarks at the meeting of ICSD members.
