The Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS) was visited by the Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development “KazAID” Ark

Astana, 4 May 2024 – The Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS) was visited by the Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development “KazAID” Arken Arystanov.

The Chairman of the EC IFAS Amb. Askhat Orazbay and the Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development “KazAID” Arken Arystanov considered possible ways of practical collaboration between two organizations. They also made plans on holding joint events in the nearest perspective.

It was agreed to sign a Memorandum between EC IFAS and KazAID on cooperation.

The Chairman Amb. Orazbay also met with the Director of the International Water Assessment Centre Zhanar Mautanova.
During the meeting there was discussed a progress of the preparation to the Subregional Session titled “Transboundary water cooperation in the Aral Sea basin for a better future” to be held on 22 May 2024 in the framework of the X World Water Forum in Indonesia.
