Экологическая акция «Araldy Saqta» [ожидает перевода]

On 5 November 2025, in the Aral District of the Kyzylorda Region, Republic of Kazakhstan, 80 km from the village of Karateren, an environmental campaign titled “Araldy Saqta” (“Save the Aral”) took place on the dried-up seabed of the Aral Sea. The event was jointly organized by the Executive Directorate of IFAS in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Freedom Bank.

The campaign was attended by representatives of the Executive Committee of IFAS, the Kyzylorda Regional Department of Natural Resources, the Aral State Administration for the Protection of Forests and Wildlife, the Public Association “Turan Depression – Aral Sea”, as well as students of the Almaty University of Management and Business, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University, and journalists from local media and the French newspaper Liberation.

As part of the campaign, 18,000 black saxaul saplings were planted on 60 hectares of the dried seabed of the Aral Sea. This initiative aligns with the environmental pillar of the Fourth Program of Action to Assist the Countries of the Aral Sea Basin, to be implemented through 2030.
