On 23 April 2026 in Astana, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the 46th meeting of the Berlin Eurasian Club was held on the theme “Joint Achievement of Sustainable Development: Strategic Partnership on the Path to a Green Future”, chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, E. Ashikbayev, and the Chairman of the Board of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, K. Klaas-Mühlhäuser.
The Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the IFAS, S. Bekmaganbetov, participated in Panel Discussion No. 2 on “Climate and Environment as a Factor of Regional Security: Green Central Asia in Action”. Appreciation was expressed to the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) for their support and assistance to IFAS in implementing the Action Programme for Assistance to the Aral Sea Basin Countries, the Regional Environmental Programme for Sustainable Development in Central Asia, and other projects in the region.
